5 ways to better Fuel Economy

  1. Keep your engine properly tuned. Oil changed when required by the manufacture.Use the correct weight of oil.Make sure you always change the oil filter with every oil change. Any time that engine check light comes on,have it checked out as quickly as you can. One example. Lets say you have a faulty oxygen sensor.Simply by replacing a faulty oxygen sensor can improve your gas mileage up to 40%.
  2. Junk in the Trunk. Yep. To much junk can add up to a weight that will cost you good fuel economy over a period of time.Just think,an extra 100 pounds can reduce your fuel mileage up to 2%.This may inspire you to lose those extra pounds you've gained. Right? Na
  3. Drive 55. Driving slower can really save you a bundle of cash. Fast acceleration and driving like a maniac not only cost you money,but it can cost you your life and others as well.Along with speeding tickets that can more than double your insurance rates. Just SLOW down.
  4. Keep those tires at proper air pressure. Simply by maintaining correct tire pressure, you can save up to 4% on fuel economy.
Keep your eyes open. I'm guilty of this a lot of times. But,always check around for the lowest price per gallon at service stations. Sometimes it may be more convenient to get your tank filled at a station that has easy access. But by continually paying even a few cent extra can add up fast in no time at all.
